New Summer Beer on its Way

In light of the upcoming warm weather, flowers, and rain, we decided to start a new beer! It's been awhile, but I think we cleared the rusty hops out of our heads.

We're making a weizen beer with the addition of apricots and ginger.

FUN FACTS!

Weizen is german for wheat. There are two types of weizen beers: hefeweizen(hefe is German for yeast) and kristallweizen (kristall meaning "clear"). Our beer will be more the "hefe" variety which is pale, light and cloudy. The cloudiness is due to the type of yeast used and it is purposely left unfiltered.

Blue Moon is a type of wheat beer brewed with orange and corriander.

Another Link

Two posts in two days? That seems so .... unnecessary. But things of a beery nature must be shared when they are discovered, because I am a beneficent blogger and I care.

The Strongest Beers in the World

Cheers!

EDIT: As it turns out, this is two posts in the same day. Now I am ashamed.

Another Trip to NY

(because that is the only time we're exciting)

So once again we have ventured to that magical land of New York, for another weekend of beer-fueled debauchery. This particular weekend, though, we had a special event in mind: a delicious lunch of fantastic dishes paired with excellent beers.

An Update, and a Link!! (because regular updates are for dildoes with no life)

Alas, the loss of a notebook holding the notes from the NY tasting has scuttled my hopes of being able to finally complete that post (though if it should turn up, I will certainly do so, on principle, dammit!).
